Job Description:The responsibilities encompass the meticulous preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for construction and engineering endeavors, emphasizing precision and thoroughness. This includes the detailed analysis of project schematics, specifications, and associated documentation to ascertain material, labor, and equipment expenditures. Furthermore, the role necessitates diligent oversight of project budgets and disbursements, identification of discrepancies, and formulation of remedial strategies. Collaborative engagement with project management personnel, engineering staff, and procurement divisions is essential to enhance cost-effectiveness. The execution of cost risk assessments and value engineering initiatives aims to optimize project profitability. The establishment and maintenance of cost databases, historical records, and comparative benchmarking information are critical. This position also requires the generation and presentation of cost reports, projections, and financial analyses for stakeholders. Support for tendering and bidding procedures is provided through the contribution of cost-related data and analysis. Evaluation of contractor and supplier quotations is conducted to ensure conformity with project budgetary constraints. Finally, the role contributes to the development and implementation of cost control protocols and optimal operational methodologies.
Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
