Job Description
- Collecting and analysing data of the company’s operational costs.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Establish and manage a fool proof cost accounting system with an emphasis on analysis valuation and expenditure control.
- Implementing cost standards for materials and labour and cost of goods manufactured.
- Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports.
- Track costs associated with raw materials, labour, supply chain, and other expenditure that vary frequently and reconciling beginning raw materials, work in progress and finished good stocks.
- Study all the cost-related parameters to establish a formidable expense tracker system.
- Formulate a clear report to assist top-level management in understanding the actual spending against the allocated budget.
- Make periodic expenses estimates to help senior management make suitable decision or modification.
- Plan budgets and prepare reports for multiple departments within a company.
- Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyse trends of highs and lows.
- Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules.
- Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements.
- Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
- Supporting other accountants within the organization.
Skills

- 5+ years’ experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing, preferably in garments industry.
- Proficient with ERP system and Excel.
- Have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Pay attention to detail, are accurate, and adhere to deadlines
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent at problem-solving
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work efficiently and effectively
- Show initiative while working as a team
