Job Description:**Job Description:**
The Lean Engineer is responsible for cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and leading project initiatives within manufacturing and production processes. This involves leveraging Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and related improvement concepts to optimize production workflows, enhance operational efficiency, and minimize waste, losses, and variability, ultimately driving operational excellence.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
1. Collaborate with, support, coordinate amongst, and communicate to all production and manufacturing teams at all levels to cultivate and disseminate a culture of continuous improvement in pursuit of operational excellence.
2. Review, validate, and analyze process and production data to visualize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on dashboards, facilitating data-driven decision-making and identifying areas for improvement.
3. Conduct regular Gemba Walks to ensure the sustained implementation of improvement projects. Proactively initiate new improvement projects aimed at eliminating and reducing waste, losses, and variations in processes through the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. (Examples of applicable tools: 5S, Work Instructions, Waste Identification, Standard Operating Procedures, Just-in-Time, Root Cause Analysis, 5M, 5 Whys, 4W, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Total Productive Maintenance, Jidoka, Poke-Yoke, Plan-Do-Check-Act, Enterprise Resource Planning, Personal Protective Equipment, Kaizen).
4. Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of new initiatives and processes.
5. Provide guidance, awareness training, and knowledge transfer regarding continuous improvement principles, techniques, tools, and best practices.
6. Encourage and motivate the team to innovate and redesign products, processes, and methods to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reduce costs through Kaizen events.
7. Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and operational standards.
Skills:
Qualification: –
1 – Bachelor’s degree in engineering or bachelor’s degree in science, or a related field.
2 – 0-2 Year of experience in process improvement or a similar role is preferred.
Experience working in manufacturing is preferred
Preferably knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
3 – Certification in Lean and Six Sigma (preferred).
