Job Description

As a Consumer Research Analyst, you will be responsible for researching and identifying the needs and desires of customers to benefit our company and improve the customer service experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct extensive research, surveys, and focus groups to determine customer needs and desires.
  2. Identify market trends and analyze their impact on the company’s products and services.
  3. Perform complex analysis and modeling to maximize profits and minimize risk.
  4. Develop program models to extract and analyze data.
  5. Propose policy and procedure changes to produce optimal results.
  6. Build and enhance relationships with vendors and other external parties.
  7. Provide analytical and technical guidance during projects.
  8. Communicate business trends and analysis to senior management.
  9. Define, measure, and communicate key performance indicators for the consumer segment.
  10. Conduct monthly deep dives on product performance and provide actionable insights.
  11. Provide thought leadership on best practices in e-commerce measurement and testing, segmentation methodologies, customer profile elements, and predictive models.
  12. Optimize retention email, direct mail, and site merchandising performance through measurement and testing.
  13. Support the development of customer-centric business and loyalty marketing strategies and analyses.
  14. Leverage internal learning, benchmarks, and category/business knowledge to provide context to analysis.
  15. Provide actionable recommendations for opportunities that support business objectives.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Consumer Research Analyst or a similar role.
  3. Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform complex analysis and modeling.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey research findings.
  5. Deep understanding of e-commerce measurement and testing methodologies.
  6. Knowledge of segmentation methodologies and predictive modeling.
  7. Experience optimizing email, direct mail, and site merchandising performance.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot trends and patterns in data.
