The role involves managing a queue of delinquent accounts, primarily through outbound communication averaging 100-150 calls daily, utilizing a collection system. Responsibilities include contacting customers to secure full overdue payment or, when necessary, negotiating and establishing suitable repayment plans. Diligent follow-up on payment promises is required. Furthermore, the role encompasses identifying potential skips and fraudulent activities, escalating any account irregularities to the Team Leader. The incumbent will cultivate an assertive approach to address customer inquiries and propose settlements for the recovery of seriously delinquent balances. System updates regarding customer contact details and the initiation of maintenance requests (billing changes, standing instruction alterations, reversals, etc.) are also integral. Active participation in team meetings, including highlighting encountered issues and proposed solutions, is expected. Routing cases to the Team Leader as appropriate, achieving performance targets established by the Team Leader, and completing reports and debit account management as required are also key components of this position.
