Job Description:**Option 1 (Focus on Responsibilities):**
The incumbent will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and management of the accounting department’s daily operations, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports. This includes the development, implementation, and monitoring of accounting policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to local regulations and company standards. The role encompasses the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review, as well as the coordination and support of internal and external audits, ensuring the accessibility of accurate documentation. Furthermore, the incumbent will supervise, mentor, and train junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Financial data analysis will be conducted to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. The timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries is also a key responsibility. A commitment to maintaining current knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and industry best practices is required. Finally, the incumbent will assist in the development and implementation of financial controls to protect company assets.
Skills:
- 15-20 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced office setting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and process improvements.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Willingness to work full-time, onsite at the company’s office location.
