Central Functions (Risk Management)

Position Description Morgan Stanley seeks a professional with previous experience in a multi-disciplined risk management function at the Associate level to work in the EMEA Stress Capital team in Mumbai. This team is part of the Morgan Stanley’s risk management function and is responsible for producing and analysing the MSI and MSEHSE Group’s enterprise wide stress testing results across all risk types. The team is a key contributor to the ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process), including stress testing, risk identification, economic capital, and related regulatory and internal initiatives. Based in Mumbai, this role will assist the team in the ongoing production of economic capital and stress testing results as well as the continuous process management and enhancement. Role involves working with multiple stakeholders across Risk Management, Finance, Treasury, Business Units and IT. Primary job responsibilities: Support production, consolidation and analysis of capital stress testing: o Production and consolidation of ICAAP stress testing, Economic Capital and Reverse Stress Testing results supporting both the London and Frankfurt entities. o Providing timely results with comprehensive analysis including the ongoing review of assumptions and methodologies. o Maintaining and running an effective process including creating, maintaining and automating tools and processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of results. o Run ad-hoc requests including sensitivity analysis and deep dives, and provide recommendations o Work with various teams across risk and finance and discuss the appropriateness of the ICAAP results o Work with IT to request and test system enhancements o Prepare appropriate materials on stress testing and economic capital for various risk committees Support the execution of a quarterly Risk identification process: o Liaise with various teams across the risk department and Finance to coordinate quarterly risk identification and materiality assessments, including communication of requirements and timelines, status tracking, and assisting with systemic queries o Produce aggregate reporting and analysis of results, including materials for workshops and risk committees o Perform user acceptance testing for technology enhancements
