Job Description: **Business Development Director**
**Job Summary:**
The Business Development Director is responsible for leading and executing business development strategies to expand Pace’s presence and market share within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and emerging markets. This role encompasses market intelligence, relationship management, proposal development, team leadership, and strategic planning aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
**Responsibilities:**
* Enhance market intelligence through comprehensive data gathering and analysis to identify and cultivate new business opportunities in KSA.
* Oversee the establishment of Pace branches across KSA and emerging markets.
* Collaborate with senior leadership in the formulation of strategic plans and annual business development plans, ensuring alignment with Pace’s long-term objectives.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key industry executives and governmental authorities to advance business development initiatives, providing regular updates to all stakeholders.
* Manage public relations and client interactions to enhance Pace’s corporate image among existing and prospective clients within the region.
* Lead proposal preparation, presentations, and negotiations with clients and potential partners.
* Analyze competitor strategies, pricing, trends, and policies to inform strategic decision-making.
* Assume full ownership of the business development function, proactively identifying and pursuing business opportunities for Pace in KSA through both personal and professional networking.
* Evaluate current, past, and future market performance in conjunction with senior management.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive record of market dynamics, mapping historical data, trends, and pricing.
* Coach, mentor, and guide team members to facilitate their professional development and prepare them for increased responsibilities.
* Conduct regular market studies and recommend strategies to foster Pace’s growth within the KSA market.
* Identify and promote training and learning opportunities for the business development team.
* Lead and motivate the business development team to achieve established goals.
* Spearhead the development of project and client positioning strategies, creating necessary materials (pre-qualifications, presentations, etc.) to facilitate client interaction during the bidding lifecycle.
* Collaborate with business development management to identify opportunities with new and existing clients.
**Required Experience:**
* Minimum of 12 years of experience leading business development initiatives within the technical industry.
* Proven track record of developing business plans supported by thorough analysis and insights.
* Demonstrated success in previous business development roles within KSA.
* Successful history of acquiring new clients and developing new business from existing clients in the KSA market.
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of local regulations and guidelines governing business operations.
* Experience working with both local and international companies in a similar industry.
* Established network and demonstrated market intelligence capabilities.
**Education:**
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
**Desirable:**
* Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
