Since 2014, Niagara College KSA (NC KSA) has operated technical and vocational training colleges and academies throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the Vision 2030 initiative and in partnership with the Colleges of Excellence (CoE) and Saudi Aramco. Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, NC KSA provides community and customized training based on Niagara College Canada’s expertise and international track records as one of Canada’s most innovative and enterprising applied learning post-secondary institutions. With a strong focus on developing ‘world-’ and ‘work-’ ready graduates, NC KSA specializes in delivering a number of quality programs designed to prepare young men and women for successful entry into the workforce in the areas of Business, Event Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Information Technology, Building & Construction, HVAC, Electrical Technology, and Graphic Design. All NC KSA campuses also offer a foundation program for English language development.

Applications are invited for the position of Director, Business Development atNiagara College KSA Corporate Office in Riyadh. Reporting to the General Manager, KSA and in collaboration with the Senior Management Team, the Director, Business Development plays a critical role in setting NC KSA’s strategic direction, decision-making and operations as the organization continues to grow and enhance its business development. The Director, Business Development understands and contributes to NC KSA operations as an actively involved and supportive manager that leads and develops an internal team to support the following areas:

  • Business Development
  • Marketing

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prospects, assesses, and develops new business opportunities for education and training.
  • Establishes, grows, and maintains business networks with key strategic partners and sectors, identified via labour market intelligence.
  • Oversees and supports the Business Development team in co-coordinating the overall delivery of NC KSA contract training projects and provides strategic feedback and recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitors project deliveries and provides timely resolution to operational needs.
  • Collates and reports data related to program performance, remuneration and attendance or as otherwise required by stakeholders. 
  • Plans and executes outreach and engagement activities with trainees to ensure project goals are met per the project requirements stipulated by stakeholders.
  • Plans, develops and delivers presentations and training proposals to prospective clients.
  • Oversees the account management of all employers, delivering outstanding customer service to ensure repeat business and referral opportunities are identified and maximised.
  • Liaises with relevant stakeholders, including campus personnel, to identify employer engagement activities which can lead on to business development.
  • Identifies relevant tendering opportunities and in coordination with the Business Development Team, following up with appropriate tenders and proposals.
  • Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs); attending strategy meetings.
  • Direct proposal content from stakeholders, typically involving contributions from marketing, academic, finance, and legal.
  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
  • Prepares budgets reflective of scope services in line with RFPs in consultation with internal stakeholders and to meet client/project requirements.
  • Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
  • Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives / outcomes / deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
  • Prepares presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding; coordinating printing.
  • Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.
  • Obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key providers and project managers.
  • Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.           
  • Establishes positioning, identifies target audiences, and develops marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
  • Leads the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
  • Analyzes customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
  • Creates, maintains, and conducts analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extracts key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, completes with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.
  • Assists in developing and optimizing strategic linkages and partnerships with all levels of government, community, education, business, industry and international education sectors to secure new educational and training opportunities in a competitive and diverse educational marketplace.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify and develop program and customized training initiatives that meet NC KSA’s strategic goals for enrolment.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the college´s marketing and recruitment strategy in order to attract new and increase the students number.
  • Oversees the recruitment activities for each campus and maintains a record of the best practices.
