Job Description

Responsible for assisting in the management of all Warehouses related activities while ensuring efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of items (F&B, FMCG, P&C and Healthcare related items). Also, responsible for maintaining the Warehouses in a safe, clean and organized manner as per Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons predefined standards, policies and procedures.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the strategic objectives and KPIs for the Warehouses in line with the Company’s strategic goals and ensure that the warehouses’ employees are working towards the achievement of these objectives.
  • Review the operating results of the Warehouses and follow-up to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct insufficient results.  
  •  Assist in the development of the development of the Warehouses’ budget and maintain approved budget to ensure all Warehouses activities are within the assigned budget by setting the required targets and responsibilities.
  • Assist in the development of and oversee the implementation of the Warehouses established policies and procedures and comply with Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons other policies.
  • Administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules and procedures in coordination with Superior.
  • Oversee all warehouse related activities in line with Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery & Sons predefined standards.
  • Assist in the development of proper inventory planning techniques and maintain updated physical inventory records.
  • Co-ordinate with the concerned departments to set the minimum and maximum levels for their products and spare parts inventory as well as the replenishment of stocks.
  • Ensure self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods, shipment loading & transferring, document recording and data entry into system.
  • Ensure that the warehouse’s health and safety requirements are met and required security levels are attained at all times.
  • Assist the Direct Manager in the negotiation of complex requests for material control, storage of equipment or supplies.
  • Ensure that all warehouses are well organized to ensure tidiness and accuracy in order to allocate items efficiently.
  • Ensure that all items are stored in appropriate locations (e.g. meeting required temperatures and environmental conditions for some items/spare parts) in order to prevent any possible damage.
  • Prepare reports related to items that are slow moving, not being used or expired in order to authorize appropriate action.
  • Manage the inventories in terms of receiving, storing, classifying and issuing of following items:
  • Finished Products.
  • Spare Parts Warehouses
  • Raw Materials Warehouses
  • Stationary and Gift Items.
  • Facilitate the external auditors’ operations by fulfilling their requirements.
  • Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
  • Investigate, manage inputs and recommend action to be taken when there are weaknesses in internal controls or compliance issue with set policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the identification of manpower requirements and Coordinate with the Human Resources & Administration Department and Direct Manager on all recruiting activities.
  • Conduct annual employee performance appraisals of the Warehouses’ employees.
  • Identify the needs of the Warehouses’ employees to ensure all relevant experience and knowledge is transferred to employees to ensure a highly skilled and high-performance workforce.
  • Instruct and lead Warehouses’ employees through their daily activities and assist in their development of technical skills.
  • Provide Warehouses’ employees with feedback on their performance to enable staff development.
  • Assist in the identification of manpower requirements and Coordinate with the Human Resources & Administration Department and Direct Manager on all recruiting activities.
