Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Design and Planning: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop architectural designs, space planning, and floor plans for new construction or renovations within our properties, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
2. Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, from conceptualization to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
3. Technical Expertise: Utilize your engineering knowledge to evaluate the feasibility and structural integrity of proposed designs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
4. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses on potential construction projects, evaluating the long-term sustainability and return on investment.
5. Contracting and Procurement: Assist in selecting contractors and vendors, reviewing proposals, and negotiating contracts to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality workmanship.
6. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as maintenance, operations, and administration, to ensure seamless integration of architectural designs with existing infrastructure.
7. Facility Maintenance: Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team, ensuring the effective upkeep and repair of buildings, systems, and infrastructure.
8. Building Code Compliance: Stay up-to-date with building codes, regulations, and industry developments, ensuring that all facility projects adhere to legal requirements and safety standards.
9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of architectural plans, construction projects, and maintenance activities, and prepare reports for management as required.
10. Sustainability and Efficiency: Incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient strategies into architectural plans, aiming to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
Skills
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
– Professional licensure or certification as an Architect or Engineer is highly preferred.
– Proven experience in architectural design, construction project management, and facility management.
– Proficiency in architectural design software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp) and project management tools.
– Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
– Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex architectural and engineering challenges.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors.
