Account Manager / Sales Manager (CPE & Routers) (copy)

Job Description

Purpose of Role: 

To develop and implement an innovative, growth focused commercial strategy, focusing primarily on fixed telecommunication devices (CPE’s, Routers & Smart Home) including ICT & cloud products.

To ensure that profitable business growth is accelerated, and that commercial success is achieved as per the vision and mission. 

Accountability & Responsibilities of Role:

  • Build and execute a new customer base strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Responsible for supporting Key Account Managers (KAMs) to understand needs of customers (typically complex in nature) & help develop solutions specific to a platform
  • Understand technical sales process, analyze technical aspects of customers product/service requirements
  • Act as a bridge between KAMs and Product Developers/Solution Architects to deliver on customer requirements
  • Get involved in complex bid negotiation along with KAMs & other stake holders (governance process already defined)
  • Developing and implementing the commercial strategy for the business and build sales channels accordingly.
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the Telco Operators and the end user to ensure that their needs are met, and the business is retained.
  • Assessing the risks to the business of any new commercial opportunities.
  • Representing the company externally e.g. at networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimize all business development opportunities.
  • Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives.
  • Ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers.
  • Observing and complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reviewing and assessing the potentials to develop strategic partnerships with sector/department specialists.
  • Working closely with the Head of Sales to manage key customers (existing and new), thereby improving turnover and profitability.
  • Reviewing existing products, services and market.
